- The Official Medical Fee Schedule (OMFS) is promulgated by the DWC administrative director under Labor Code section 5307.1 and can be found in sections 9789.10 et seq. of Title 8, California Code of Regulations. It is used for payment of medical services required to treat work related injuries and illnesses.

- EDEX (Electronic Data EXchange) is a communication protocol designed by the California Division of Workers’ Compensation which provides access to California Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board case data to authorized users. EDEX Information Systems developed a free Internet-based application, using highly secure 128-bit SSL data encryption, which allows clients to access EDEX data without having to purchase, install or maintain costly software. Services include ERN or SSN searches, case number searches, auto track Inquiry, case watches, hearing & event notifications, appearance calendars, AR/lien analysis, batch uploads, data conversion, data reports, EMC data interface, and name searches.
